The raw materials used in our plywood production typically include pine, eucalyptus, beech, and acacia wood.

General Characteristics and Properties

Currently, Wood Industry Yen Bai Co., Ltd. specializes in manufacturing water-resistant plywood with pine or mixed wood surfaces. Our products are customizable in size, using T-1 E-1, phenolic adhesive. They are reusable multiple times, making them suitable for formwork and water-resistant furniture applications.
The average density of the plywood ranges from 600–700 kg/m³.
Our products are available in various standard sizes or can be customized to meet customer requirements. Standard dimensions include: 1220×2440mm, 915×1830mm, 915×2135mm, and 910×1820mm.
Common or customizable thicknesses: 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14, 17, 18. (mm)
Each plywood sheet always consists of an odd number of layers (3, 5, 7, 9, 11…). This ensures a central core layer, aligning the grain directions of the outer layers. As a result, the core restricts the outer layers' expansion and contraction, minimizing warping, shrinkage, or cracking.

Production Process

Logs are cut to specified dimensions and debarked before being processed into thin veneers with a thickness of 1–2mm

STEP 1

The thin veneers are trimmed to appropriate sizes and dried in a temperature-controlled system to achieve a moisture content of 4–8%. They are then stored for 24 hours to stabilize.

STEP 2

The veneers are transferred to the assembly line for adhesive application.

STEP 3

The layered veneers undergo pre-pressing under controlled pressure for a specific duration, allowing better adhesive penetration and enhanced sheet rigidity.

STEP 4

Pre-pressed sheets are then subjected to hot pressing at optimal temperature and pressure.

STEP 5

• After hot pressing, the sheets are sanded to achieve a smooth and uniform surface, followed by adhesive application for the top veneer layer.

STEP 6

To ensure maximum rigidity, the plywood undergoes two additional pressing processes: 1- Pre-pressing: Under controlled pressure. 2 - Hot pressing: Using an elastic pressing system under controlled temperature to maintain proper moisture levels and ensure a flat surface.

STEP 7

The plywood is finally sanded for quality control and cut to the required dimensions before packaging

STEP 8

The alternating arrangement of wood layers provides high mechanical strength and rigidity.

Plywood edges are prone to chipping after cutting. Higher cost compared to particleboard and MDF.
